Fall has arrived.

I applied for a course in InDesign. Short notice, but they had space left. 11 am to 17 pm last Saturday and same time this Saturday.

Today I and E are going to the gym. It is time to shape up. One needs to be able to walk up the stairs without having to catch ones breath. This I do, even though I use my bike almost everywhere I go.

My job search is starting to pay off and I have had a couple of positive meetings. Though none of them have led to job, I am meeting people and, creating contacts and a picture of the industry and the people.

An old friend of mine called me the other day. I have two weeks to show what I can do at a design company. Start date: Thursday 20 October.

Today I mentally said goodbye to Dublin. I am going back for the graduation, but after that, I am finished with Ireland.

It is time to look for new possibilities.

Det blåser, men solen värmer.

När man väntar så försvinner förmågan att fokusera på allt annat. Varför blir det så?

Strunta i dem. De sumpade chansen att ha dig på sitt företag.
Och de hade behövt det. Total saknad av struktur och strategi. Fattar inte att de har klarat sig i fem år.


The eternal waiting. They are not coming back to me as they say and sad. One. Two weeks. What is wrong? Is there someone holding up the process? Or is the company going bankrupt? Or are they just in total lack of structure?

I can’t wait anymore. There was an opportunity and I did what I could, but one must not wait forever. Soon one month has passed since I first contacted them after our meeting. Disrespectful to my integrity and to my life. I have no income, and they know this.

I have started looking for jobs. Marketing. Assistant. Wherever.

It’s a beautiful day. The only sad thing about fall and winter is that there’s suddenly less that is free of charge. One can always take a walk, but to sit down somewhere outside is definitely not as easy.
Too cold.

I will get my drivers license. Then I can buy an electric car when I get a high enough salary. That will take a while, but it will happen. Just have to get a job first.
Positivepositivepositive. Stay positive. Stay up. I have experience, skills and the will and potential to learn and grow.

Stockholm is beautiful.

3 days.

The Duke and Cappuccino.

Mom and dad are at the Guinness Storehouse, but I have already been (a couple of times) so I am just spending time in the city that has been my home for six months.

Yesterday I said goodbye to the last ones of my friends in Dublin. I am going to miss them a lot. I already do. Went to the peal shop to create bracelets for the guys that I have spent most of my time with here. I’ll send the bracelets to France and Gothenburg and hopefully they think that the bracelets are nice enough to wear. If not, it is still a reminder of me.

I have grown as a person and I feel a million times taller than before I came to Ireland. I will go back to Sweden as a different, stronger person. All experiences here, good and bad, has taught me how to be a bigger person.

It is hard to say good bye, that’s why we say “see you soon” instead. And I have no doubt in my mind that I will see them again, at least the ones who are closest to my heart. Six months. That means something.

My parents just landed in Dublin. I see Sweden before my eyes.

I have managed to get all my stuff into my big suitcase plus 4 bags. Amazing. I impress myself sometimes.

Bye bye appartment. Temporary life.
I will miss this. I will miss you guys.

The people that have made this a fantastic experience...
I have said goodbye to some of you allready. Others will share tears tonight.

Haven't really understood it yet. I have actually started to pack stuff into my suitcase.

Gave my beautiful red dress to a charity today. So that someone else can bring it to life again.
Going to Oxfam books tomorrow to see if they want the nearly new notebooks and binders that J and M left when they went home.
Would be such a waste to just throw them away...


Said goodby to a dear friend today. I am gonna miss you.

Yesterday we were in Howth, beautiful weather. Today Belfast. Amazing. The forecasts were telling us that it would rain and that the sky would be black, but we got sunshine.

Tomorrow we'll go to Guinness Storehouse and Jameson distillery and then my brother have to go to the airport.

This was the energy boost I needed. My brother inspires me.

The sun is momentarily peeking through Dublin’s sky.

My brother arrived yesterday and we went to Elephant and Castle, the restaurant in Temple bar which is said to be a landmark of Dublin's dining culture, but is serving New York style dishes.
Then we just went from pub to pub with live music. Beautiful Irish feeling.

Today we might go to Howth and explore, but if it rains, we could go to the Sience Gallery

Today we'll get the results for our assignment in marketing communication. Revision class 15.30. It's going to be really interesting to know who won’t and that groups' ideas.
Now I'll study a little bit before waking my brother.

Here we are.

25 days left of my six months in Dublin. Time fly.

I have met amazing people here, friends for a lifetime. You inspire me.

I came here by train and boat. Unfortunately, I am going back by plane. The best boat routes where all sold out of tickets for the dates I needed. This obviously means that I won’t ride a bike back to Stockholm, I’ll save that adventure for the future.

 My brother will arrive at 15.30 tomorrow and spend three nights here. Right now the schedule is telling me to study. 

Five exams within two  weeks.

Business Strategy. Then HRM. Early morning tomorrow and off to the library. It opens at 9.30. Dame Street.

Hopefully, tomorrow will also be the day our Marketing Communications teacher calls me to tell me the result of our consulting assignment. Which group of the 12 final ones that actually made the most useful communication strategy, who the winners are.

My beloved sister was here. Recharged. 

You are my idol, my rock star. 

 I am going do the second presentation for Market Communications myself, while C do not want to do it. We did the first presentation in front of your teacher and now we are going to present it to the company which provided the brief. 

The mission is to create a communication strategy for a telecom company. 

I spoke with our teacher about my new ideas and the respond was: "Go for it". So, I will.

I have the presentation ready, only a few changes in aesthetics now. Maybe clarifying some ideas, but I won’t put too much effort into it, my focus have to be on the exams now.

I know that I am not going to win, but still. Somehow, I want to do it. Just to try.

I have started a sourdough. My first sourdough ever. With a little help from a Swedish website called bakasurdeg.se.

  

The sourdough is like my little baby, I have to take good care of it. Succeeded to bake one small bread a couple of days ago and now I have a bigger batch proving (rising) in the fridge. It is supposed to have doubled its size in 9-12 hours. 

Now I have to keep on studying. Business Strategy, here we go.
